Workshop: Make a Ceramic Vase

In this hands-on pottery workshop in the leafy courtyard of Cornerstone Studios in Camberwell, South London, you will learn how to hand-build your own unique vase or plant pot using stoneware clay. Over the course of two and a half hours, you'll craft a personalised piece that you can use and treasure for years to come.
 
Don’t worry if you've never worked with clay before, this class is suitable for all skill levels. Under the guidance of artist Charlotte Mei, you'll discover how satisfying it can be to shape and form your own creation from a humble piece of clay.
 
During the session, you will:
•Use hand-building techniques to form your vase
•Add personal touches like handles and design elements
•Decorate your piece with coloured underglazes provided in the workshop
 
You will leave piece at the studio to be fired twice, and glazed with a clear stoneware glaze. In four weeks, you'll be able to collect your finished mug or have it posted to you for an additional £10.
